I find that the square-foot gardening method is a great way to get the most our of your garden space. It takes the guess work out of whether your plants are too close or if you could get more in a given space. For me, using this method makes quick work of planning my garden each season. I simply draw up 1 foot x 1 foot grids for the length and width of my garden rows and beds, and I am able to place plants and how many of each I need!
With this method, I didn’t need to label everything in the garden, because it was all on my sheet. When it came to starting plants, even before my new beds were created, I knew exactly how many of each plant I needed to keep for the season. The Seeding Square helps me quickly sow seeds without having to guess what optimal spacing for a 1×1 square would be.
